Cobh & Harbour Chamber works under the direction of its elected President and Council towards progressing the development of local business into the 21st century.

The general benefits of membership of the Cobh & Harbour Chamber are:

bullet The Chamber is a business and commercial Representative Organisation that actively and continually works to promote Local Economic Development.
bulletThe expertise and influence of the Chamber is at the members disposal to assist in situations specific to their business activity for Lobbying and Representation, on behalf of individual and collective members. Ongoing contact is maintained with State Agencies, Local Authorities and Political Representatives on behalf of the local business community about matters of business, commercial and environmental concerns.
bulletMembers have access to comprehensive Information and Advisory Services on a very wide range of business issues including education and training for business life.

bullet The Chamber provides members with an opportunity to influence the business development of the area and this in turn assists to succeed with their own business goals.
bullet The Chamber is a member of the Cork Regional Chambers and through this body have representation on four Cork County Council Strategic Policy Committees. Meetings are held quarterly between representatives from all the Chambers in the Region to discuss matters of common interest for the development of the Region.
bullet The Chamber is affiliated to Chambers Ireland. The CI is the largest business organisation in the country with 13000 member companies in its affiliate Chambers. Chambers are unique in focusing business energy on the growth of the local economy. This has been their role for over 200 years and it will continue long into the future.
bullet In Ireland, Chamberlink facilitates co-operation between Chambers in the Republic and their counter parts in Northern Ireland. The Chamber movement works with Chambers abroad to increase Irish Trade.
bullet A valuable aspect of membership of the Chamber at local level is the business contacts that are formed and maintained through Networking and Business Linkages. The Chamber provides many formal and informal opportunities for its membership to meet and benefit through the utilisation of its contacts base.
