Failte - Welcome The Cobh Tourist Information Office is situated in the Old Yacht Club Building in the town of Cobh. (Approx 15 miles from Cork city). The office is operated by the Cobh & Harbour Chamber with the support of FAS. The Cobh Tourist Office which is one of the many tourist offices open 12 months of the year, provides a wide range of information for the many tourists visiting Cobh and the East Cork area. Information is available on everything from accommodation to food and drink in the area.  Cobh, a steeply terraced picturesque town dominated by the magnificent St. Colman's Cathedral, has a rich maritime history and enjoys spectacular views of Cork harbour, one of the world's largest natural harbours and is renowned for being the last port of call for many Irish emmigrants seeking a better life abroad. There is a variety of literature in the office giving historical details of Cobh, and also maps and area guides of popular touring destinations around the south of Ireland. A large range of Irish souvenirs are displayed in the gift shop for the convenience of visitors. As one of the main Ports of call for visiting liners. Cobh will play host to 54 liners this season.
