The Pfizer Story – From Ringaskiddy to the World
Cobh & Harbour Chamber is delighted to bring you “The Pfizer Story” for the September Business Breakfast in association with Port of Cork. This story will give us an insight into Pfizer’s daily operations in Ringaskiddy and the important work they do there, as well as a global viewpoint.
Pfizer was one of the first pharmaceutical companies to come to Cork and start production in 1969 at its plant at Ringaskiddy in Cork Harbour.
On the day we will hear from Seamus Fives, Vice President of API Operations, and Clair Murphy. Site Leader at Ringaskiddy who will, in turn, take us through the local and global operations of Pfizer, their history in Cork as well as the recent story of the Covid 19 Vaccine, including production, promotion, and rollout.
Pfizer is a staple in the Cork Harbour landscape and we will have the privilege of some behind-the-scenes views, as well as learning about the story behind the technology and rollout of the mRNA Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine.
